Handley Page Halifax - Friday the 13th

"433 Sqn flew the Halifax from 1943 to 1945 and the Lancaster for just the closing months of the war in 1945. The Halifax is now a very rare airframe and I believe only two exist, one in Canada and a composite airframe in the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington in North Yorkshire." Malcolm Clarke

"The Handley Page Halifax was first flown on October 25, 1939 and entered into service with 35 Squadron November, 1940. 6 Group flew Halifax planes as shown in the Flight Book Logs and photos. 6,1768 Halifaxes were produced, and the bomber version flew 82,773 sorties in World War II, dropped 224,207 tons of bombs and lost 1,833 aircraft or 30%!
