Reginald Frank Piercy

This image is of Flight Segeant Reginal Frank Piercy who attended 72 Air Gunner Course, Class VI of Eight Classes. Edwin Richard Alm, Class graduated from the same class. The men were divided into flights, more or less alphabetically, so Edwin Richard Alm was in Class I. The two Flight Sergeants crewed up together, joining the Benson crew, 429 Squadron.

Flight Sergeant Piercy and Flight Sergeant Alm were killed in a mining operation over Oslo Fjord on Feb. 25, 1945. Both are remembered at Runnymede Memorial.
